Wednesday Preview and Prediction: ALA-GBP, STAR-NLEX

Two strong teams will try to get their first W this season.

Vic Manuel, Chris Exciminiano and Calvin Abueva should be back for the Aces in this game. They exhibited their We Not Me mantra in their first two games, can they finally use that to get their first W? On the other hand, this will be the real test for the Batang Pier after disseminating the two weakest squad this season.

This game is really hard to gauge now because of the players returning for Alaska and the level of the competition of Batang Pier in their first two games. I am counting on the return of Vic Manuel and Calvin Abueva to fix the flaws that the Aces revealed in their first two games and Globalport should be a little bit lax after winning their first two games. I am taking the Aces in this one.

The revelation from Marc Pingris showed how bad is the problem of the Star franchise. Maybe his revelation and his sincerity could unclogged the negativity that shackled the team for more than a year now. On the other hand, I felt like coach Yeng was not lock-on in finding a way to win in their game against the Bolts. I think, he wants to take note first of the tendencies and the performance of his roster.

The numbers are clear in pointing the better choice for this one. Star was a positive in rebounding while NLEX was a negative, meaning they were being outrebounded per game. NLEX also let their first two opponents shot 41% from the outside in their first two games and Star is hit 20 threes in their first two games.

So, I am going with Star in this one.

My Record: 9-6
Poll's Record: 8-7
