Sunday Preview and Prediction: MAH-PHX, ROS-BGSM

Mahindra will try to get their first W against Phoenix who wielded the upset ax last Wednesday. Ginebra will try to avoid a 0-2 hole against the Elasto Painters.

Phoenix controlled the most powerhouse team in the league from start to finish last Wednesday. It was a mesmerizing performance for the Fuel Masters as they also assisted 26 of the 35 shots. Mahindra continue to look like a D-League team.

The confidence should be there now for the Fuel Masters and that will be their fuel to a victory.

Rain or Shine cleared their cylinder against Mahindra with 18 long bombs. With that victory, Rain or Shine has two victories and has full possession of the #1 spot. Ginebra tasted their specialty after TNT came from behind to win last Sunday. A 0-2 start will put a lot of pressure on Ginebra so this is a must win.

The defense of Ginebra in their game against TNT was awful so knowing coach Tim, I expect Ginebra to play much better defense. On the other hand, the offense of Rain or Shine was very flexible in their first two games. Great plays and their scorers also exhibited their ability to score on isolations.

I will side with the Elasto Painters in this one as Ginebra continue to adjust with the absence of Greg and their main man last conference, Brownlee. And Rain or Shine is clever enough in using their deep rotation.
