Saturday Preview and Prediction: NLEX-MER, ALA-SMB

San Miguel and Alaska will rekindle their rivalry as Meralco try to get their first W at the expense of their sister team, NLEX.

Meralco suffered a heartbreaking defeat at the hands of the Blackwater Elite. While, NLEX needed an overtime to take the W against Alaska. Both teams did not impress me in their first games, can they do it this time?

The NLEX Road Warriors are still adjusting to their new scheme under coach Yeng and their individual numbers in their first game were promising. On the other hand, Meralco posted a fascinating number in their first game, 11 three-point attempts.

Without a legit outside threat, Meralco will have a hard time penetrating NLEX' defense. That will be the biggest reason why Meralco will suffer another L in this game.

This is the game that I am most interested this week, especially, after San Miguel suffered a defeat against Phoenix. I think, that L last Wednesday was just an off night for the Beermen so I will not be totally worried if I am a Beermen fan. Alaska will miss their starting frontline of Thoss, Abueva and Manuel in this game, can they survive?

I am not looking forward to the match itself but for how the coaches will adjust with their own situations. Alaska still managed to give NLEX a close fight, can they do that against the Beermen? Will coach Leo continue to use a very short rotation after they suffered defeat?

Okay. I will go with the safe pick, San Miguel. I will not be shock if the Aces will push the Beermen to the edge but Fajardo will not let his Beermen go 1-2.

My Record: 4-3Poll's Record: 3-4
