Friday Preview and Prediction: BWE-TNT, GBP-STAR

This Friday, we will see the biggest test for the current #1 team in the league, Blackwater. We will also see the Star, go for their first win against Globalport.

After two years, Blackwater has found the right build to start the most important conference of the season, at the top of the standings. This will be the hardest test for them as they try to topple Jayson Castro and his Ka Tropas.

I am craving for this match-up. Jayson Castro will be available and he will lead a young team, trying to breakout from the cellar. The Elite are heavily relying on their defense. They were out-rebounded in their first two games and even shot a lame 53% from the free-throw line.

With the return of Jayson Castro and with still a lot of holes in their game, Blackwater will bow down in this one.

The season opener of these two squads were the opposite of each other. Star was horrendous in their first game against San Miguel while Globalport showed dominance against Mahindra. With more than a week of preparation, Star should be a better team than the one that we saw in the opening of the season.

I still don't believe that Globalport did not play as fast as expected but maybe they will do it slowly. On the other hand, Star looks more of a team than the one that we saw last season. Globalport's scheme evolves around Globalport and Star should at least distort the Romeo-Pringle duo to have a chance. They will fail to that for the whole 48 minutes and give Globalport their 2nd W.
