Friday Preview and Prediction: GBP-MAH, NLEX-ALA

This Friday, Globalport will test their beef-up line-up against the downgraded roster of the Floodbusters. Alaska will begin their road to redemption against the new team of Coach Yeng Guiao, NLEX.

I am really interested to see how Globalport will play after acquiring elite shooters in the offseason. I am hoping they will play extra-fast because that will be entertaining. As much as I feel sorry for coach Gavina, I see this as the best test for him to show that he is an elite coach.

Globalport could have a big problem with their defense if JR and Stanley don't sync right away. Fortunately for them, they should be able to win this game even with a very bad defense.

For me, this is the most interesting game this week. I am really interested to see how coach Yeng's system works with NLEX's roster. On the other hand, I am also a big fan of continuity and internal development, so I have some expectations for the Aces this season.

This one is pretty hard. NLEX has the size advantage and that can propel them to victory. Sean Anthony and Calvin Abueva will make each other's life, hard. I expect a pretty close game that Alaska will win with their chemistry.
