Wednesday Preview and Prediction: BWE-PHX, TNT-ROS

(c) PBA Media Bureau

Two young franchises and two perennial contenders will lock horn this Wednesday. Let us check it out.

Blackwater did it slowly but surely and now they have a promising core of Banal-Dela Cruz-Belo-Eram. On the other hand, Phoenix is still trying to find their grooving and made their mark with their extreme style of basketball. Who will begin their season in the right tune, we will see.

In the preseason, Phoenix was a little off with their small ball and they may need some more time to polish things. Blackwater has two seasons under coach Leo Isaac so I expect them to be the more polish team in this game and claim the victory.

Coach Nash Racela will not be able to attend to this game because of his duty in the UAAP. Deputy coach Josh Reyes will handle TNT. On the other hand, Caloy Garcia is back on the spotlight as he regained his head coaching duties of the Elasto Painters. I am excited to see how much of coach Yeng's philosophy and scheme will coach Caloy continue to employ with the team.

The coaching changes of both teams make this really hard to predict but one fact remains, TNT has the better roster. So, I will choose TNT in this one. Rain or Shine will also need to adjust from the departure of Paul Lee and JR Quinahan and the arrival of Jay Washington.
