As predicted, long bombs saved the day for the Bolts in game 3. I expect Coach Tim Cone to give his best in encouraging his players as they try to outhustle and physical Meralco.
What happened in game 3 was very simple, Meralco hit eight more three-pointers than Ginebra. To be more precise, the three three-pointers of Hugnatan kill every chance that Ginebra has. The good news for Ginebra is, they continue to be better in scoring inside.
Mercado-on-Durnham ploy was easily destroyed in the 1st quarter because of foul trouble and I don't think Coach Tim will repeat that again because of what Reynel did. I expect Ginebra to continue to exploit the paint but make more kickout passes.
That means, three-point shooting will be a key again in this game. Ginebra attempted 22 long bombs in game 3 and they only made 4. Don't expect that again in this game 4. I am also sure that Coach Norman Black is not expecting another 12 long bombs from his team.
If Coach Norman succeed in tightening up his outside defense, expect Meralco to win. Unless, Ginebra totally dominates the board.
I will choose Ginebra for this game and I don't expect it to be close.
